The EchoHeart Transvaginal Fetal Doppler Probe has been especially effective in detecting earlier fetal heart tones in cases of delayed abdominal detection. Women who have a retroverted uterus and women who are considered to be either obese or ultrathin represent a significant portion of women who are pregnant, and they have a disadvantage when traditional abdominal methods are used. Because the EchoHeart Probe is able to gain access nearer to the womb, these women - previously often unable to hear their fetal heart tone until the second trimester - can hear their baby's heart much earlier than ever before.
