Although spotting and cramping occur frequently in normal pregnancy, a woman experiencing these symptoms often fears she is miscarrying. Detection of a strong, regular fetal heartbeat can bring immediate peace of mind and often eliminates the need for further costly testing -- be it bloodwork (serial hCG levels) or follow-up sonograms.
Note: EchoHeart is not a replacement for ultrasound. It is designed only to provide audible detection of fetal heart tones. In cases of suspected ectopic or other pregnancy complications, ultrasound is recommended.
